1. Who we are
Impactiqa ("we", "our", "us") is a strategy, design and technology studio operating this website and the services described herein. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Impactiqa acts as the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
If you have questions about how we handle your data, contact us at privacy@impactiqa.com.
2. Data we collect
We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Identity data — your name and company name, provided voluntarily via contact or enquiry forms.
- Contact data — your email address and, where provided, telephone number.
- Communication data — the content of messages or project briefs you submit to us.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, time zone, operating system, and referring URL collected automatically when you visit our site.
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent on each page, and navigation paths through the site.
We do not collect sensitive personal data (special category data) and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16.
3. How we collect your data
We collect data in the following ways:
- Directly from you — when you complete a contact form, send us an email, or subscribe to our newsletter.
- Automatically — through cookies and similar technologies when you browse the site (see Section 9 for our cookie policy).
- Third parties — analytics providers may share aggregated usage data with us in accordance with their own privacy policies.
4. How we use your data
We use personal data only for the purposes for which it was collected:
- To respond to enquiries, project proposals and support requests.
- To send our newsletter and marketing communications, where you have given explicit consent.
- To improve the performance and content of our website through anonymised analytics.
- To protect the security of our website and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations to which we are subject.
We will never sell, trade or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data under the following legal bases as defined in Article 6 of the GDPR:
- Consent — for newsletter subscriptions and non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, maintain site security and conduct analytics, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation — where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
6. Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who act as data processors on our behalf, including:
- Hosting providers (for website infrastructure)
- Email delivery platforms (for newsletter distribution)
- Analytics providers (for anonymised site statistics)
All processors are contractually bound to handle data securely and only for the purposes we specify. We may also disclose data where required by law, court order or regulatory authority.
7. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected:
- Contact form submissions are retained for up to 2 years from the date of last communication.
- Newsletter subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe.
- Technical and usage data is retained in anonymised form for up to 26 months.
When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it securely.
8. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration or disclosure. These measures include SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission and access controls limiting who can view stored data.
While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, please notify us immediately at privacy@impactiqa.com.
9. Cookies and tracking
We use the following categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the website to function correctly. No consent required.
- Analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors interact with our site (e.g. pages visited, session duration). Set only with your consent.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site. For a full list of cookies in use, contact us at privacy@impactiqa.com.
10. Your rights
Under GDPR (and CCPA where applicable), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure — to request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations.
- Right to restriction — to request that we limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object — to object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, to withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@impactiqa.com. We will respond within 30 days.
11. International transfers
We primarily process and store data within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where data is transferred to countries outside the EEA — for example, via third-party service providers — we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology or our practices. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of our website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
